In 1983, the Illinois Bar Foundation created The Fellows program. The Fellows are a special group of lawyers who have committed, by direct payment or pledge over ten years, sums of money ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to accomplish two goals:
- Build the Foundation's endowment; and
- Develop and fund its own projects in furtherance of the Foundation's mission.
Fellows pledge payments are retained in a special fund of the Foundation, and are used for making grants and subsistence gifts.

Your membership makes it possible for the Illinois Bar Foundation to support and improve the justice system throughout the State of Illinois.
The Fellows recognize and honor individuals who have contributed to the development of law in American society.
