The Post-Graduate Legal Fellowship was created to benefit both new law school graduates and low-income residents seeking legal help. IBF created a grant program that partnered with law schools to provide half of the funding for a one-year staff attorney position in the school’s civil legal clinic for a recent graduate. This model provided an opportunity for a new lawyer to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to launch their career, often into public interest law, while also increasing the impact of legal clinics and services to those in need.
