Join the Illinois Bar Foundation in celebrating and supporting our veterans for their courage and sacrifice during our first-ever IBF Week of Service: November 6-10, 2023. Write letters in support of our active-duty servicepeople and veterans, learn about veterans rights and issues with free virtual CLE opportunities, or participate in a pro bono veterans’ clinic directly serving those who have served their country. Proceeds of this event will benefit the statewide access to justice and lawyers care programs of the Illinois Bar Foundation.

LETTER WRITING OPPORTUNITIES

Write a Letter to a Serviceperson

Monday, November 6 – Thursday, November 9
(Drop Off Sites open 9 am – 5 pm)

Write a letter to an active-duty serviceperson thanking them for their service and drop off at any of our statewide Illinois JusticeCorps sites listed below. These will be included in care packages sent to troops via Operation Gratitude.

Drop Off Sites: Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Chicago (Daley Center), Edwardsville, Galesburg, Kankakee, Peoria, Quincy, Rockford, Springfield, St. Charles, Sycamore, Waukegan, Woodstock, Murphysboro

Wednesday, November 8 from 10 am to 2 pm

Drop in and join us at locations around Illinois to write and decorate cards and letters for active-duty servicepeople. Materials and refreshments will be provided.
