Thank you to all who attended! Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Access to Justice and Lawyers Care programs of the Illinois Bar Foundation.
Join award-winning true crime authors GARY V. JOHNSON and JEFFREY DEAN DOTY in a fascinating up close and personal virtual authors’ Q&A, as we discuss their intimate experiences with some of Illinois’ most notorious murder cases.
Gary Johnson, an Aurora-based defense attorney and former Kane County state’s attorney, will discuss his debut book Luck is a Talent, a true crime memoir detailing his career and his experience with the high-profile Jeanine Nicarico case. Jeffrey Dean Doty is a writer who has published fiction and non-fiction works, including A Convenient Man, a true crime novel based on the Maria Ridulph case out of Sycamore, Illinois. In addition to his writing, Jeffrey also co-hosts a true crime podcast, “Speaking of Crime” covering a variety of notable cases.

We are proud to have served approximately 52,000 individuals throughout Illinois this year through our access to justice and lawyers care programs and hope to serve many more with your continued support. Donate today to help your neighbors throughout Illinois receive assistance for basic needs such as housing, safety, education and accessibility to legal resources this holiday season.
Your gift helps provide funding for organizations across the state working with vulnerable populations, to ensure they receive the legal support and resources they so desperately need, and to support attorneys and their families during times of crisis.
